Before buying Game Pass or entering payment details, check the Perks section in your Xbox account and open the offer’s own terms for your region. The four-month report is not evidence that the perk can still be claimed.
Is Spotify Premium still free with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
There is no confirmed current four-month offer in the available official information. The promotion was reported as returning through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks from May 4, 2021, by Pure Xbox. A Spotify Community discussion from that period also refers to a four-month Xbox-linked offer, but community posts do not establish official terms or current claimability.

Xbox’s Game Pass Perks page is the appropriate place to check what is offered, but the page does not confirm that Spotify is currently available. Availability, eligible regions, qualifying Game Pass tiers and deadlines should be taken from the listing shown in your account and its linked terms.

- Sign in to the Xbox account you use for Game Pass and open its Perks section.
- Look for a Spotify Premium offer. If none appears, do not assume a four-month trial is included with your subscription.
- Open the offer details and read the region, qualifying Game Pass tier, eligibility rules, claim deadline, redemption route and renewal terms.
- Only proceed if you meet the displayed conditions. Follow the claim route shown in that current offer; the process and code delivery details from older promotions may not apply.
- Before activating, note when any trial ends and how to cancel if you do not want a paid Spotify subscription afterward.
Do not purchase Game Pass solely on the assumption that Spotify is bundled. The current four-month offer’s official terms and claim route have not been established.

Why might Spotify say you are not eligible?
The current four-month offer’s eligibility rules are not confirmed, so an error should be checked against the terms attached to the offer in your account. Restrictions from an older promotion can illustrate what to look for, but they cannot determine eligibility for a current one.
Spotify’s official US terms for a separate six-month Xbox offer effective October 1, 2019 required a new Spotify Premium customer. They excluded people who had previously subscribed to Premium or Unlimited or used a trial or introductory offer, required a valid current payment method, and excluded prepaid and Spotify gift cards. Spotify also required direct billing rather than third-party billing, and limited the offer to one redemption per eligible user. These were terms for that historical six-month offer, not verified conditions for the four-month perk.

If a current listing rejects your account, compare the exact eligibility wording with your Spotify subscription and trial history, billing arrangement, region and Game Pass tier. Use the current offer’s support or help route if the terms do not explain the rejection.
Will Spotify charge you after the free months?
Check the current offer terms before activation. The 2019 six-month offer automatically changed to paid Spotify billing at the then-current monthly price unless the subscriber cancelled before the trial ended; cancellation was available through the Spotify account page. That historical renewal rule does not establish the billing terms for a four-month offer today. If you activate a current trial and do not want it to renew, use the cancellation instructions and deadline stated in that offer.

Do not confuse the four-month report with Spotify’s older six-month offer
Xbox Wire announced a different promotion on October 1, 2019: six months of Spotify Premium for eligible Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass for PC members. Its announcement described eligibility for residents of the US or UK who were new Game Pass members and new to Spotify Premium. It said codes could arrive by email and the Xbox message center after purchase, with delivery taking a few days. Spotify’s accompanying US terms described redemption of a code on Spotify’s website.
Those dates, regions, eligibility rules, code delivery details and trial duration belong to the 2019 six-month promotion. They should not be used as instructions or assurances for the four-month perk reported in 2021.

Can you use Spotify on Xbox without a perk?
Yes. Spotify lists Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One as supported consoles. Its Xbox support guide describes signing in with an account and password, Spotify Connect or a pairing PIN. Playback can continue while a game is open, with controls available through the Xbox Guide or Spotify Connect. This device support is separate from promotional eligibility: it does not mean a Spotify trial is currently bundled with Game Pass.
