Ubisoft+ Premium is the better fit if you mainly want Ubisoft games, including its Premium catalog, advertised day-one releases, and premium editions. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is better if you also want its wider multi-publisher catalog and benefits: it includes Ubisoft+ Classics, not the full Ubisoft+ Premium subscription. Catalogs and eligibility vary, so check that the specific game you want is included for your plan, region, and device before subscribing.
Is Ubisoft+ included with Xbox Game Pass?
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes Ubisoft+ Classics, which Xbox describes as a selection of 50+ games. It is not the same as Ubisoft+ Premium. Ubisoft describes Premium as including new releases on day one where available, premium editions, and classic favorites; the Premium editions may not include every piece of premium content.
That distinction matters if you are choosing a subscription for a particular new release or edition. The Classics inclusion gives Ultimate subscribers access to a Ubisoft catalog as part of a broader bundle; it does not promise access to every game or benefit in Ubisoft+ Premium. See Xbox’s Game Pass plan comparison and Ubisoft’s Premium page for the services’ current descriptions.
Which subscription fits your gaming habits?
| What matters most | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Ubisoft-focused access | Ubisoft+ Premium | It is Ubisoft’s dedicated subscription and advertises its Premium catalog, day-one releases where available, and premium editions. |
| A broader subscription with some Ubisoft games | Xbox Game Pass Ultimate | It bundles Ubisoft+ Classics with a broader multi-publisher catalog and other Game Pass benefits. |
| A specific game, platform, or edition | Check the live catalog first | Availability depends on the title, subscription plan, region, and platform; the services are not interchangeable title by title. |
How the catalogs and editions differ
Ubisoft+ Premium
Ubisoft+ Premium is the more direct choice when Ubisoft games are the main reason for subscribing. Ubisoft advertises access to new releases on day one where available, premium editions, and classic favorites. These are service-level descriptions, not a guarantee that every Ubisoft game is included on every platform or in every region. Ubisoft also notes that not all premium content may be included with every premium edition.

Ubisoft+ Classics through Game Pass Ultimate
Ultimate’s Ubisoft+ Classics selection is a subset offering, not the full Premium subscription. Xbox currently describes it as 50+ games, but that vendor-stated count does not establish which titles are available to you or how long they will remain in the catalog. Xbox says availability varies over time, region, Game Pass plan, and platform. Check the Xbox plan comparison and search for the exact game before relying on the inclusion.
Can PC Game Pass subscribers play Ubisoft games?
Ubisoft support says PC Game Pass subscribers can access a catalog of Ubisoft games through Ubisoft Connect PC and the Xbox app for Windows. That is a separate PC route from Ultimate’s Ubisoft+ Classics inclusion, and it should not be taken to mean that every Game Pass tier or every Ubisoft game is eligible. Confirm the game’s current listing and follow the account and launch requirements shown for that title in the relevant apps. See Ubisoft’s PC Game Pass support page.

Where can you use each subscription?
Ubisoft identifies PC access through Ubisoft Connect and Xbox console access for Ubisoft+ Premium. Ubisoft’s PC Game Pass support describes access through Ubisoft Connect PC and the Xbox app on Windows. These are distinct subscription routes; do not assume that access on one device automatically applies to another. Before paying, match the subscription, platform, and specific game’s listing to how you intend to play. See Ubisoft+ Premium and Ubisoft support for PC Game Pass.
How to compare the cost fairly
Compare the local recurring price of each plan with the benefits you will actually use. Game Pass Ultimate is a broader bundle, so its full price should not be treated as the cost of Ubisoft access alone. Ubisoft+ Premium is more focused on Ubisoft titles.

Prices depend on country and can change. In the captured US Xbox comparison result, Xbox displayed $22.99 per month for Ultimate and $14.99 per month for Game Pass Premium; these are country-specific displayed prices, and Xbox also presents promotional offers and says recurring terms can change. A separate Ubisoft UK checkout result displayed £6.99 per month for its selected plan, which is neither a US quote nor a like-for-like price comparison. Check your local checkout pages for the current charge and renewal terms: Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft UK checkout.
Check a game before you subscribe
- Find the exact game. Search the live catalog for the title you want rather than relying on a general statement that a service includes Ubisoft games.
- Check the plan and platform. Verify the listing for your subscription, region, and device. A game’s availability can differ across plans and platforms.
- Confirm the edition and access route. If you want a particular premium edition or PC access, confirm that the listing and service route provide it.
- Review the renewal terms. Compare the recurring local price, not just an introductory promotion, before completing checkout.
What happens when you cancel?
Ubisoft’s subscription terms say access to subscription games and benefits ends with the subscription period unless you own the game separately. A subscription therefore provides access while it is active; it is not the same as buying a game. Review Ubisoft’s subscription terms for the applicable terms.
