Brass Rain is Yarnhub Animation Studios’ forthcoming WWII multiplayer shooter, and its official Steam listing describes an 8v8 demo set at Pointe du Hoc and Castle Itter. The demo is not yet available. Yarnhub’s September 2026 roadmap targeted a public demo in February 2027, but that date is a target rather than a confirmed release.
What is Brass Rain?
Brass Rain is Yarnhub Animation Studios’ first game, moving the studio from 3D military-history films into a multiplayer WWII shooter. The official Steam demo listing describes an 8v8 experience with online PvP and co-op. It names two settings: Pointe du Hoc in Normandy and Castle Itter in Austria.

Yarnhub positions the project as an infantry-focused experience for viewers of its history films. In a November 2025 GamesBeat interview, Head of Games Cyril Barrow said: “Brass Rain isn’t just a game, it’s a living historical experience shaped by the millions who watch our films every month.” That is the studio’s framing, not an independent assessment of the game.

Those are figures attributed to GamesBeat’s 2025 report, not current totals or a statement of the studio’s total available funding. Barrow also said the community wanted “boots-on-the-ground infantry” beyond games such as War Thunder and World of Tanks; the statement reflects Yarnhub’s account of audience demand, not a published survey result.

What does the trailer announcement mean?
The dates refer to two separate records. GamesBeat’s report announcing Brass Rain and its trailer is dated November 21, 2025. Steam later published an official event titled “Brass Rain – First Pre-Alpha Gameplay Trailer” on December 1, 2025, describing its material as “Early in-engine footage from our upcoming WWII co-op shooter.” The Steam event’s wording identifies the footage as pre-alpha; it should not be treated as confirmation that the game was finished or ready to play.
The official Steam listing provides the clearest current outline of the intended demo, but it does not establish how the game performs or whether its final content will match the description.

Weapons named on the Steam listing
The official page lists ten weapons: Colt M1911A1, Luger P08, Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk III, Karabiner 98k, M1 Garand, Gewehr 43, Thompson M1921, MP40, Winchester Model 1897 and Flammenwerfer 35. The listing does not by itself establish that every weapon will be available in a final release.

When can you play Brass Rain?
The Steam demo page currently says the demo is not yet available and lists 2027 as the release year. A September 2026 post on the official Steam community page said Yarnhub was targeting its first public demo for February 2027 Steam Next Fest and hoped to make June 6, 2027 a major day for Brass Rain. Treat both dates as plans, not confirmed launch dates.
The same roadmap post said the team was preparing an October 5, 2026 playtest focused on Pointe du Hoc Operation Mode. That date has passed, but the reviewed post does not confirm whether the playtest took place. Yarnhub also reported passing 150,000 Steam wishlists in September 2026; that milestone is developer-reported, not independently audited. Players can follow or wishlist the game through its Steam listing for official updates.

What PC requirements has Yarnhub published?
The Steam listing publishes Windows requirements, including Windows 10 or 11, 16 GB of RAM, broadband internet and DirectX 12, alongside specified CPU and GPU classes. Consult the official listing for the complete hardware specifications; requirements may change as development continues. Their publication is not a reason to upgrade a PC before the demo is available.
Steam also warns that the game depicts violence. The listing presents Brass Rain as a digital game and does not establish a physical edition or branded merchandise.
