To complete “Yes, Your Lugubriousness” in Disney Dreamlight Valley, prepare a Grecian Baked Fish for Chez Remy, clear seven grease fires with the Royal Shovel, meet the clothing tags for Hades’ sales pitch, retrieve his Fire Suppression Potion wages from The Bind, then put out six more fires at Scrooge’s store with the Royal Watering Can. The Storybook Vale quest requires Hades at friendship level 4 and several character, quest, building, and biome unlocks.
Quest prerequisites
Before starting, make sure you have the following unlocked or completed. The quest requirements list the character and location prerequisites; Destructoid specifies that you need at least the first friendship quest for Scrooge, Remy, Flynn, and Ursula.

- Reach friendship level 4 with Hades.
- Unlock Ursula, Mother Gothel, Vanellope, and Flynn.
- Progress through the required story or friendship quests with Scrooge McDuck, Remy, Flynn, and Ursula; at least each character’s first friendship quest is required.
- Unlock Chez Remy and Scrooge McDuck’s General Store.
- Clear paths to The Fiery Plains and The Wild Woods.
The quest takes place in Storybook Vale. Its listed reward is 880 friendship with Hades.

Talk to Remy about Hades taking over at Chez Remy. Hades needs two of each ingredient for Grecian Baked Fish: Salt, Elysian Grain, Olives, Ambrosia, and Stygian Mudskipper.

- Salt: Fish in Everafter’s waters outside the fishing ripples.
- Elysian Grain: Buy it from Goofy’s stall in The Elysian Fields. The stall must be upgraded twice.
- Olives: Forage in The Elysian Fields or The Fiery Plains. They also grow in other Mythopia biomes.
- Ambrosia: Buy it from a Goofy stall in a Storybook Vale biome.
- Stygian Mudskipper: Fish in orange or gold ripples in Mythopia. Possible spots include The Elysian Fields, The Fiery Plains, The Statue’s Shadow, and Mount Olympus.
Bring the ingredients to Hades, then meet him at Chez Remy. After the meal, listen to Vanellope’s reaction.
Put out the seven fires at Chez Remy
Use the Royal Shovel on each of the seven grease fires in the restaurant. Do not pour water on them. When they are all cleared, talk to Hades about his shift.

Meet the outfit requirements for Hades’ sales pitch
Change into an outfit that satisfies all three clothing tags: Professional, Black, and Blue. Then follow Hades to his sales pitch for Flynn. The Wardrobe’s quest filter can help you find clothes that meet the requirements.
Find Hades’ wages in The Bind
After the sales pitch, talk to Hades and visit Ursula’s house. Pick up and read Ursula’s note; it directs you to a “soggy place” in The Bind. Fish at the golden spot off The Bind’s coast to recover the Fire Suppression Potion, then bring it to Hades.

Extinguish the fires at Scrooge’s store
Go to Scrooge McDuck’s General Store and discuss hiring Hades. After Hades’ first customer interaction, six fires break out. Use the Royal Watering Can to extinguish all six. Listen to the conversation afterward, then return to Storybook Vale and talk to Hades to finish the quest.

Gameloft’s December 12, 2024 hotfix notes say the team fixed an issue where Ursula’s Note could fall into an unreachable place in Ursula’s Cave. That patch note documents a historical fix; it does not establish that every current save or platform is free of quest issues. If the note remains inaccessible, consult the game’s current support options rather than assuming the old fix applies to your save.
