Zhuang Fangyi’s banner is no longer upcoming. She debuted as a new 6★ operator in Version 1.2, but her Rate-Up banner, Thunder of Renewal Chartered Headhunting, ran from the Version 1.2 release until May 22, 2026, at 11:59 server time. In the Americas and Europe, it began after the April 16 update rather than on the Asia-server date of April 17. (Official banner notice)
Players were waiting because Zhuang Fangyi arrived with a new version, an Electric-focused combat kit, and a banner system that does not place her in Basic Headhunting after she leaves the Chartered Headhunting rotation.
Who is Zhuang Fangyi?
Zhuang Fangyi is a new 6★ operator introduced with Version 1.2, At the Wake of Spring. The update also added the Wuling areas Wuling – Marker Stone and Wuling – Test Area. (Official Version 1.2 notice)
The official announcement identifies her as a 6★ operator, but it does not label her “limited.” That description is often used informally by players, yet the more precise explanation is that her availability is governed by the Chartered Headhunting rotation.

When was Zhuang Fangyi’s banner?
Her debut banner was Thunder of Renewal Chartered Headhunting, with Zhuang Fangyi as the Rate-Up 6★ operator. It ran from the Version 1.2 release until May 22, 2026, at 11:59 server time.

That means claims that her release date was unknown, or that the banner ended on May 25, are outdated.
Could you still get her after the debut banner?
The official Fists of No Regrets Chartered Headhunting notice listed Zhuang Fangyi among the 6★ operators who could appear, alongside Mi Fu, Rossi, Ember, Lifeng, Ardelia, Last Rite, and Pogranichnik. That notice specified availability through June 26, 2026, at 11:59 server time. (Official Fists of No Regrets notice)

Because that date has also passed, the supplied official notices do not establish a current September 2026 acquisition route. Her present availability should therefore be checked against the live in-game Headhunting screen rather than assumed from old banner guides.
One important rule is already clear: when a 6★ operator is featured as the Rate-Up unit on a Chartered Headhunting banner, that operator is removed from the operators who may appear in Chartered Headhunting after three Chartered Headhunting banners. The operator is not added to Basic Headhunting. In other words, waiting for a routine Basic Headhunting appearance is not a safe plan.
Why were players waiting for her?
She was a new 6★ operator
Zhuang Fangyi’s arrival was tied directly to Version 1.2, making her one of the update’s headline operator releases rather than a minor addition. Her debut Rate-Up banner was also the first phase of the version’s banner schedule.
Her kit has a distinctive Electric-focused loop
Post-release gameplay coverage describes a kit built around Electrification stacks, consuming Electric Inflictions with her Combo Skill, and generating Sunderblades with her Battle Skill. The practical setup is to build Sunderblades before using her Ultimate; building up to nine is reported to maximize the damage of the subsequent Battle Skill. (Mobalytics Zhuang Fangyi guide)

This gives her a more involved combat rhythm than simply activating abilities whenever they are available:
- Apply or maintain Electric effects and build Electrification.
- Use the Combo Skill to consume Electric Inflictions as part of her damage cycle.
- Generate Sunderblades with the Battle Skill.
- Build toward nine Sunderblades.
- Use the Ultimate and follow with the Battle Skill to capitalize on the setup.
The exact value of that rotation depends on team composition, investment, encounter length, and the game’s balance changes, so the mechanic should not be treated as a universal guarantee that she is the best choice for every account.

Her banner had several unusual reward rules
Thunder of Renewal accepted Blitz of Verdance HH Permits, Chartered HH Permits, and Oroberyls. It also included cumulative rewards with failure modes that mattered when deciding whether to spend.
- After 30 headhunting attempts: players received 10 bonus Urgent Recruitment attempts, effectively one free 10-pull. These attempts were valid only on that banner and did not carry over.
- Urgent Recruitment guarantee: the free 10-pull guaranteed a 5★ or better operator, but its pulls did not count toward the banner guarantee or cumulative reward milestones.
- After 60 paid or recorded attempts: players received one Headhunting Dossier. It was automatically converted into 10 Special HH Permit items when the next Chartered Headhunting banner began. Those permits expired when that next banner ended.
- Every 240 attempts: players received one token for the featured Rate-Up 6★ operator.
The key distinction is between attempts that produce a reward and attempts that advance the banner’s counters. The free Urgent Recruitment pulls were useful, but they could not be treated as progress toward the main guarantee.
How could players try her before pulling?
The banner included Combat Drills featuring Zhuang Fangyi. The required stage supplied a preset team containing the trial operator, allowing players to test her gameplay without owning her.
After completing the stage, rewards were claimed through the Event Center. The official notice also identified the relevant screens as follows:

The notice does not confirm a more specific navigation path such as “Home → Headhunting,” so players should use the current in-game labels rather than rely on an assumed menu route.

What weapon content arrived with Version 1.2?
Version 1.2 also introduced the 6★ Arts Units Lone Barge and Flickers in the Mist. The associated Drifting Raft Issue banner had Lone Barge as its Rate-Up Arts Unit. (Official Version 1.2 notice)

Players should not assume that her operator banner guarantees access to either weapon.
What should returning players remember?
- Zhuang Fangyi is not still waiting for a debut: her debut banner ended May 22, 2026.
- The later Fists of No Regrets notice listed her through June 26, 2026, but that window has also ended.
- The official Version 1.2 notice confirms her as a new 6★ operator; “limited 6★” is shorthand, not a classification stated in that notice.
- She is not automatically added to Basic Headhunting after leaving the Chartered Headhunting rotation.
- Her gameplay centers on Electrification, Electric Inflictions, and Sunderblades, with nine Sunderblades reported as the important pre-Ultimate target.
- Old articles saying her date, weapon, class, or element were unknown should not be used as current references.
