2K confirmed Punk as WWE 2K26’s Showcase subject in its January 30 announcement. The publisher called the feature “2K Showcase: Punked – CM Punk’s Personal Journey.” Its February 10 Ringside Report later supplied the official mode name and detailed examples.
What “2K Showcase: Punked” includes
The mode is narrated by Punk and combines selected matches from his career with alternate-history scenarios and fantasy matchups against WWE Legends. 2K describes the experience as a chance to relive key moments and explore “What if?” possibilities; its announcement’s description of it as “the most personal 2K Showcase yet” is the publisher’s characterization.

Career matches and milestones
2K’s February report names examples from Punk’s career: Randy Orton at WrestleMania 27, The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29, and Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood 2024. The report also identifies the WrestleMania 41 triple threat against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as the opening view. These are announced examples, not a complete match list.
Alternate history and fantasy opponents
One alternate-history scenario pairs Punk and AJ Lee against The Miz and Maryse. The fantasy opponents named by 2K include “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Eddie Guerrero. The publisher has not presented these examples as an exhaustive list of every matchup in the mode.

The Showcase Gauntlet and its rewards
The optional Showcase Gauntlet lets players choose Punk or AJ Lee and face all 20 Showcase opponents consecutively. 2K says completing the Gauntlet grants full Showcase completion and every reward available in the mode, including playable Legends, alternate attires, managers, championships, and arenas. It offers a single run through the opponents for players who want to pursue the mode’s completion and rewards this way.
Platforms and release timing
2K lists WWE 2K26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The publisher’s March 6, 2026 update said the King of Kings, Attitude Era, and Monday Night War editions were available worldwide; the Standard Edition was scheduled for March 13, 2026. Those are release announcements, not current pricing or retailer-stock information. 2K’s March update has the edition timing, while the January announcement lists the platforms.

What Punk said about narrating the mode
In 2K’s January announcement, Punk said: “I enjoyed the experience of narrating the 2K Showcase, which gave me an opportunity to tell fans the straight, unfiltered story of the moments, matches, and controversies in my career.” The quote is Punk’s description of his narration experience, as published by 2K.
