Cobalt is a released side-scrolling action-platformer developed by Oxeye Game Studio and published by Mojang. It launched on February 2, 2016. Despite the original headline’s wording, it is not documented as a follow-up to Minecraft; Mojang described the separate game Cobalt WASD as a standalone multiplayer follow-up to Cobalt.
Is Cobalt a Minecraft follow-up?
No. The available official descriptions identify Cobalt as an Oxeye Game Studio game published by Mojang, not as a sequel or follow-up to Minecraft. How does multiplayer work?
The Steam listing includes local and online co-op and PvP, including shared/split-screen play. On Xbox, the store lists local co-op for 2–8 players, online co-op for 2–8, local multiplayer for 2–4, and online multiplayer for 2–8. Who made Cobalt?
