What was Cristiano Ronaldo’s deal with UFL?
Strikerz Inc., the studio behind UFL, announced on December 12, 2023, that Ronaldo had become an investor. The company said he was part of an investor group committing more than $40 million to developing the game and would help shape its development. Those details come from the company announcement distributed by Business Wire; the figure is an announcement claim, not an independently audited financing total.
Ronaldo described the project as “the new breed in football gaming.” The announcement positioned his involvement as support for UFL’s development and its effort to engage football fans. It did not establish that his investment gave players a gameplay entitlement or guaranteed access to a Ronaldo player card.

What was the Cristiano Ronaldo Team Pass?
VentureBeat’s January 31, 2025 report described a two-month Team Pass built around eight stages inspired by milestones in Ronaldo’s career. Players could progress through a free reward track, with an optional paid upgrade. Reported rewards included emblems, kits, boots, balls and an opportunity to earn a Ronaldo player card. The report said the items would not be reintroduced after the pass ended. That was a claim about the promotion when it was announced; current official pages do not establish whether the pass or its rewards later returned. The 2025 pass should therefore be treated as historical, not as an offer confirmed to be available now.
Is UFL free to play, and what platforms is it on?
UFL’s official homepage describes it as a free-to-play football game and lists PlayStation, Xbox and PC. The studio’s 2023 announcement also said the game would have regular feature updates without mandatory payments or yearly fees, and characterized its design as skill-first with “zero pay-to-win” options. Those are the publisher’s stated intentions, not an independent assessment of the game’s monetization balance.

The official mobile notice dated May 22, 2026 describes iOS and Android access as “Mobile Soft Launch Stage 2: Global Access,” with a full global launch planned for later in 2026. It also says UFL first launched in December 2024 and had attracted more than 7 million players since then. Both the player count and launch timing are publisher-reported; the notice does not confirm that the full mobile launch has already happened.

UFL’s about page describes online PvP and PvE as well as couch co-op. It also highlights player cards, squad management, challenges and recurring events. The game is designed around building a squad and competing, rather than being a Ronaldo-branded standalone release.
