No—not within the Forza Horizon series anymore. Forza Horizon 5 was described as the series’ biggest world when it launched in 2021, but the later-released Forza Horizon 6 is now the newer entry. Forza describes FH6’s Japan map as its “most dense and vertical map yet,” though it has not published a like-for-like area comparison proving which map covers more square kilometres.
Is Forza Horizon 5 the biggest map in the series?
No. FH5 held the series superlative at its 2021 launch: Forza’s September 2021 campaign overview called it the largest game world in the series at that time. FH6 has since been released, and Forza’s April 2026 map reveal calls its Japan setting the series’ “most dense and vertical map yet.” Those descriptions show that FH5’s launch-era claim is no longer a current record claim; they do not provide a direct measured-area ranking between the two games.
Sources: Forza’s 2021 campaign overview, Forza’s April 2026 FH6 map reveal, and Forza’s June 2026 Series 2 notes, which establish that FH6 was available.
How big is the Forza Horizon 5 map?
Forza’s official description is comparative rather than an area measurement: FH5’s map is “about one-and-a-half times the size of Forza Horizon 4’s.” The same 2021 feature identifies 11 biomes. Forza does not state an official area in square kilometres in that source.

A Pro Game Guides article estimates the map at around 107 square kilometres (41 square miles). Treat that as a third-party estimate, not an official Forza statistic: the article does not establish measurement boundaries or a method that makes the figure directly comparable with other game maps.

|---|---|---|
| About 1.5 times FH4’s size | Forza’s approximate relative-size description, published in 2021 | Forza |

Does FH5 have the biggest map in all racing games?
The available official comparisons establish claims about the Horizon series, not a ranking across every racing game or video game. They also do not give harmonized area figures for FH5 and FH6. A reliable cross-game comparison would need the same basis for each map: playable area versus map boundaries, whether expansions count, and whether the measurement covers driveable terrain, the map outline, or road length. Without that, a universal “biggest” ranking is not established.
