This is a historical prediction for EA SPORTS FC 25’s 2024/25 Premier League Team of the Season (TOTS), not a live vote. EA opened Premier League TOTS voting on 18 April 2025 and scheduled the in-game release for 2 May. The Premier League’s season-award shortlist gives a useful evidence-based pool, but it is not EA’s final TOTS squad.
What this prediction covers
EA said community voting was returning for three top-league XIs during the TOTS campaign, writing: “This year’s Team of the Season also welcomes the return of community voting for three top league XIs during the Team of the Season campaign.” That establishes a fan-voting component, but does not explain every factor behind EA’s final selection. The announcement did not enumerate the final Premier League XI, so the lineup below is an editorial prediction rather than a claim about the released squad.

For a grounded candidate pool, the Premier League’s official 2024/25 Player of the Season shortlist named Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Morgan Gibbs-White, Alexander Isak, Bryan Mbeumo, Declan Rice and Chris Wood. The shortlist is an award selection, not a complete TOTS XI; its statistics, marked correct as of 15 May 2025, help compare candidates but do not settle all positions.
Predicted Premier League TOTS XI
This balanced 4-3-3 uses the shortlist’s strongest documented performers as its core and makes the remaining positional choices an editorial judgment. The lineup is not EA’s confirmed roster.

| Position | Predicted player | Why he makes the XI |
|---|---|---|
| Goalkeeper | Not established from the cited shortlist | The eight-player award shortlist does not include a goalkeeper, so it cannot support a specific keeper selection. |
| Defender | Virgil van Dijk | He recorded 14 clean sheets, according to the Premier League’s 2025 shortlist article. |
| Defender | Not established from the cited shortlist | The shortlist does not provide a complete defensive candidate pool or enough evidence to name another defender confidently. |

| Midfielder | Ryan Gravenberch | He registered 57 interceptions, a clear indicator of his defensive midfield contribution. |
| Midfielder | Declan Rice | He recorded 52 tackles and created 56 chances, combining defensive work with attacking involvement. |
| Midfielder | Morgan Gibbs-White | His 50 chances created support a place as a creative option. |
| Forward | Mohamed Salah | His 28 goals and 18 assists made 46 goal involvements; he also won the Premier League’s 2024/25 EA SPORTS Player of the Season award. |
| Forward | Alexander Isak | He scored 23 goals and supplied six assists. |
| Forward | Bryan Mbeumo | His 18 goals and seven assists make him a strong attacking candidate. |
The figures in the table are season indicators reported by the Premier League in 2025, not a comprehensive ranking of every eligible player. The shortlist supplies limited evidence for goalkeeping and the wider defensive pool, so filling those places with named players would go beyond what it establishes.
Who were the leading candidates?
Attacking output
Salah is the clearest attacking pick on the available evidence: the Premier League reported 28 goals and 18 assists, and named him its 2024/25 EA SPORTS Player of the Season. Isak’s 23 goals and six assists and Mbeumo’s 18 goals and seven assists make them strong forward options. Chris Wood also merits consideration after scoring 20 goals, even though this 4-3-3 prediction gives its three forward places to Salah, Isak and Mbeumo.
Rank #2
Midfield contribution
The shortlist supports different midfield roles rather than a single statistical ranking. Gravenberch’s 57 interceptions point to defensive contribution; Rice paired 52 tackles with 56 chances created; and Gibbs-White created 50 chances. Those indicators make a balanced trio plausible, but do not prove how EA weighed roles or selected its final team.
Defensive case
Van Dijk’s 14 clean sheets provide a concrete case for inclusion from this shortlist. They should not be treated as an individual measure of all defensive performance, and the shortlist alone cannot determine the full back line.

How the Premier League shortlist differs from EA’s TOTS
The Premier League Player of the Season award and EA’s in-game TOTS are separate selections. The shortlist and its statistics provide useful context for a prediction, but do not confirm EA’s nominees, positional choices, card ratings, card design or final XI. Similarly, the Premier League’s description of a panel-and-public vote applies to its season awards, not automatically to EA’s TOTS process.
The Premier League said of its 2024/25 Player of the Season award vote: “The public votes will be combined with those of a panel of football experts to decide the winner.” That statement concerns the league award; EA’s announcement confirms community voting for three top-league XIs without giving a complete selection rubric.
