Where to find Fallout 76 controls
PC keyboard and mouse
Open Pause > Options > Controls > Key Assignments to see your keyboard and mouse bindings. Bethesda says most PC keyboard and mouse gameplay controls can be remapped. Xbox and PlayStation
On a console, open the player menu and choose Options to view the control mapping. Press Menu on Xbox or Options on PlayStation to open that menu. Bethesda documents mappings for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The Xbox and PlayStation layouts are different, so use the chart or button prompts for your own platform rather than substituting one family’s labels for the other’s. Change PC key assignments
To change a PC binding, open Pause > Options > Controls > Key Assignments, select the control you want to change, and assign a key in the on-screen menu. Bethesda notes that most keyboard and mouse gameplay controls are remappable; it does not characterize every control as changeable. Bethesda Support: How do I make key changes like autorun?

Set or change Autorun
- Press Esc to open the System menu.
- Choose Controls, then find Autorun under Movement in the General section.
- Select the desired key and choose Bind to confirm.

Control and accessibility settings
Bethesda’s gameplay and accessibility guide, published September 2, 2025, lists settings for X- and Y-axis inversion, look sensitivity on both axes, toggle aim, controller vibration, and controller aim assist. The guide also describes navigation options: digital menu navigation on PC and directional-pad navigation on consoles for screens such as Challenges, SCOREboard, Map, and Character Creation. The Favorites Wheel and Social Panel support analog navigation.
What the PC control names mean
Bethesda’s official PC manual lists functions such as movement, sprint, jump, bash or power attack, attack or grenade, sneak, point of view, auto-move, aim or block, Pip-Boy, V.A.T.S., activate, ready or reload, emotes, healing items, quick-access menus, and the favorites wheel. That manual dates to 2018, so treat its names as a reference to documented functions, not a complete or guaranteed-current default binding list. Its console controls guidance covers the named Xbox and PlayStation generations, while the PC key-assignment instructions apply to keyboard and mouse.
