Highwind travel and exploration
Square Enix’s Japanese announcement says players will explore a broad world aboard the Highwind, with battles described as evolved from the earlier games. The official product page also showcases Meteor, the Weapons and a concluding confrontation with Sephiroth.

Spoilers for the original Final Fantasy VII: In an October 2, 2026 interview with PC Gamer, director Naoki Hamaguchi discussed Sephiroth summoning Meteor, the planet’s Weapons emerging and the story covering roughly the final third of the original game. What does the digital Trilogy Edition include?
The Trilogy Edition is a digital bundle of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE, FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH and FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION. In the US PlayStation Store listing, the first two games are available to download and play immediately after preorder.
The same US listing says its preorder pricing lasts through April 7, 2027 at 23:59; regular pricing may apply afterward. Store terms and prices can change.
