Is the physical GTA 6 version a disc?
No. Rockstar says, “A disc will not be included in the box.” The physical retail package contains a download code, not a disc. Rockstar says physical versions are expected to be available for shipping and pickup beginning November 12, 2026, to support preload; digital preloading is also scheduled to begin that day. That distinction matters if you expect to lend, resell, or install from a disc: the code-in-box package is a digital download purchase. Rockstar also says PlayStation download codes are region-restricted and recommends buying from a retailer in the country associated with your platform account.

Platforms, launch date, and purchase checks
