In Crimson Desert, the two reported ways to get a Gold Bar without buying one are to steal the bar from the fireplace at Lioncrest Manor or pickpocket Noble NPCs. The manor offers a fixed reported location but risks jail and bounty debt; Noble loot is random, so finding a bar may take repeated attempts. These locations and mechanics are reported by an IGN guide updated May 13, 2026, surfaced via a proxy-hosted copy; they have not been independently verified.
Where to find the Gold Bar at Lioncrest Manor
Lioncrest Manor is northwest of Hernand Town. The guide places a Gold Bar in the ground-floor fireplace beside a small table.

- Make a manual save before entering. If you are caught, the guide says you can end up in jail and incur bounty debt; reload your save after a failed attempt.
- Approach the manor from the rear and climb to a wooden window on the second floor.
- Open the window, enter, and go downstairs to the main foyer.
- Watch the patrolling guard. When the guard moves down the hallway, steal the bar from the fireplace; the guide says the theft meter should finish before the guard returns if the timing is right.
The guide reports that the bar had not respawned after more than eight in-game days of observation. That does not establish whether it can respawn under other conditions or after an update.
How to find Gold Bars on Noble NPCs
Noble pickpocketing is the other reported method. Use the Lantern to inspect Noble NPCs and look for an ingot-shaped Gold Bar among their carried loot. A bar is not guaranteed: the guide describes Noble loot as random and says it may take multiple attempts.

Best places to check
- Oakenshield Manor: Start in the courtyard near the center of Hernand Town. The guide says Nobles commonly gather there in late morning and early afternoon.
- Lioncrest Manor, Hernand Bank, and Hernand Church: These are other areas the guide recommends checking for groups of Nobles.
Repeat attempts at Oakenshield Manor
- Make a manual save at Oakenshield Manor between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Use the Lantern to check nearby Nobles for a Gold Bar.
- If none carry one, reload the save and check again.
The guide warns that traveling too far away may reset the item a Noble is carrying. It does not provide verified drop rates or an expected time to find a bar, so repeated checks may be tedious.
Gold Bars versus Crude Gold Bars
Crude Gold Bars are a separate, more accessible item described as scattered around Pywel. The guide says they sell for less than Gold Bars but does not give a verified sale value. If you are collecting specifically for value, do not treat the two items as interchangeable.

Which method should you try?
| Method | Reported advantage | Main drawback |
|---|---|---|
| Lioncrest Manor fireplace | One fixed reported location for a Gold Bar. | Theft can lead to jail and bounty debt; the guide observed no respawn after more than eight in-game days. |
| Noble pickpocketing | Can be attempted among Noble groups at several locations. | Carried loot is random, bars are not guaranteed, and repeated checking may be required. |
These mechanics and locations come from the IGN guide updated May 13, 2026, surfaced through a proxy-hosted copy; they are guide-reported rather than independently tested. No verified drop rate, respawn rule, or guaranteed method is established.
