To reach Verdania, first free the Green Prince from his cell in Sinner’s Road with a Simple Key. Advance his quest in Act 2, then reach Act 3 and enter the newly opened passage at the far east of Greymoor, beside Craw Lake. That takes you to ruined Verdania; to enter the larger memory area, Lost Verdania, learn Elegy of the Deep and play it beside the prince.
Follow the Green Prince’s quest to open Verdania
1. Free him in Sinner’s Road
Find the Green Prince’s cell in Sinner’s Road and use a Simple Key to release him. This is the opening step of his quest, according to Nintendo Life and PC Gamer.
2. Speak with him in the Citadel during Act 2
Meet the prince in the Choral Chambers near the Citadel Spa. After the Cogwork Dancers encounter, speak with him again by their arena. PC Gamer notes that defeating the Dancers is required for main-quest progression.
PC Gamer recommends completing these early meetings during Act 2, but its guide could not confirm whether they remain possible in Act 3. Treat that as a precaution rather than a confirmed missable lockout.

3. Enter the passage in eastern Greymoor
After reaching Act 3 and advancing the prince’s quest, go to the far east of Greymoor, beside Craw Lake and Craw’s house. Take the newly open passage east into the ruined present-day area of Verdania. Route guides from Nintendo Life, PCGamesN and PC Gamer place the entrance there.
How to enter Lost Verdania
Present-day Verdania is a small ruined corridor, not the larger area with the puzzles and boss. To reach Lost Verdania, progress through The Dark Below until you learn Elegy of the Deep for the Needolin. Return to the grieving prince in Verdania and play the song beside him. This opens the memory version of the area.

What to do in Lost Verdania before the boss
Lost Verdania contains orb puzzles leading toward the Green Prince’s home and the Clover Dancers encounter. The Hollow Knight Wiki says the Conjoined Heart can replace one of the three Old Hearts, and reports that Lost Verdania closes after the Clover Dancers are defeated.
