That is a count of the names in the index—not a publisher-confirmed total—and it includes flying and marine reptiles, other prehistoric animals, and hybrids as well as dinosaurs. Five entries are attributed to the Prehistoric East add-on, but the list’s dates conflict, so treat those additions as reported rather than definitively confirmed.
How many dinosaurs are in Jurassic World Evolution 3?
GameWatcher’s roster index, dated September 23, 2026, contains 116 named entries, counting the five species it attributes to Prehistoric East. Because the index combines dinosaurs with other prehistoric animals and hybrids, “116 roster entries” is more accurate than “116 dinosaurs.” It is a count of that guide’s list, not an audited figure published by Frontier.
Official promotional counts differ by source and context. Frontier’s 2025 launch announcement advertised “over 80” prehistoric species, with more than 70 able to form family units. PlayStation’s product page, accessed October 8, 2026, describes “over 85” species and says 75 allow players to manage, breed, and nurture families across generations. These are each publisher or platform claims as presented in their respective materials, not directly comparable exact totals. See Frontier’s launch announcement and the PlayStation product page.
Complete Jurassic World Evolution 3 roster list
The following names appear in the September 23, 2026 GameWatcher index. The five species marked with an asterisk are its reported Prehistoric East additions; the date discrepancy is explained below. This combined list does not identify each entry’s habitat or whether it belongs to the base game, Deluxe content, an update, or a paid add-on.

What is included in the roster?
Dinosaurs, hybrids, and other prehistoric animals
The phrase “dinosaur list” is convenient, but the roster is broader than non-hybrid dinosaurs. It includes hybrids such as Indominus Rex and Spinoraptor, flying reptiles such as Pteranodon and Quetzalcoatlus, marine reptiles such as Mosasaurus and Plesiosaurus, and other prehistoric animals including Dimetrodon and Dunkleosteus. The index supplies a combined roster rather than habitat or taxonomy labels, so it should not be treated as a verified land/flying/marine breakdown.

Family units and generations
A key feature of Jurassic World Evolution 3 is family management for eligible species. PlayStation describes breeding and nurturing families across generations; its current product page says 75 species support that system. Frontier’s launch announcement used a different, earlier figure: more than 70 family-forming species. Neither statement means every listed animal has family variants.

The PlayStation product page lists add-ons separately, including Wetlands, Rebirth Expansion, Crocodilia Coast, Prehistoric East, and Deluxe Upgrade Pack. It establishes that these add-ons exist, but the page accessed October 8, 2026 does not establish Prehistoric East’s release date or verify its species lineup.

The roster guide labels itself updated September 23, 2026, yet says it added Gobisaurus, Nanshiungosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Tarbosaurus, and Yangchuanosaurus from Prehistoric East dated September 29. Since September 29 comes after the stated update date, that chronology is inconsistent. The five names are therefore included above as the guide reports them, not as a definitively verified current add-on lineup. Check current in-game species records or official Frontier notes for confirmation.
Other add-on details are reported in announcements with narrower scope. The Wetlands Pack announcement describes Irritator, Austroraptor, and Hypsilophodon as new family units and Deinocheirus as a returning free family unit. A Frontier press release carried by Publicnow says Crocodilia Coast became available August 11, 2026 and adds five species as family units. Those announcements explain selected content, but do not independently verify every entry or content tier in the combined roster. Frontier’s launch announcement also identifies Protoceratops, Guanlong, Thanatosdrakon, and Concavenator as Deluxe Edition family units; because one passage spells the first name “Proceratops,” use the in-game spelling Protoceratops when referring to the roster entry.
