It launched on July 27, 2024, at ChinaJoy for ¥17,999. Lenovo’s Chinese product page now lists the machine as unavailable, and the available evidence does not establish a formal US launch or US retail price.

Why the hardware was notable
The YOGA Portal was not a typical low-power mini PC. Its Core i7-14700 is a desktop processor, rather than a mobile chip using the same Core i7 branding. The RTX 4070 was also identified as the desktop graphics card with 12 GB of GDDR6X memory, making the machine substantially more capable on paper than compact systems relying on integrated graphics or laptop-class GPUs.

- Compact and efficient: The Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q mini desktop PC is a compact and efficient mini desktop PC with reliable performance, plenty of memory, and efficient storage.
- Stable Processor - 6th Gen Intel Core i3-6100T, delivering reliable processing power for a variety of tasks including office productivity, web browsing and multimedia consumption.
- AMPLE CAPACITY - 8GB DDR4 RAM provides ample memory for seamless multitasking, smooth performance and runs multiple applications at the same time; 256GB solid state drive offers fast boot times, quick data access, and enough storage space for essential files, documents and applications.
- FLEXIBLE EXPANSION - USB Type-A, DisplayPort, RJ-45, headphone/microphone combo jack, ensuring easy connection to peripherals and accessories.
- Operating System: Windows 11 Pro - a powerful, secure, compatible and more manageable operating system that helps you better manage and protect your devices and data for greater productivity and security.
That distinction does not guarantee full-size tower performance. A 350-watt integrated power supply and a very small enclosure can affect sustained power limits, temperatures, fan noise and upgrade options. The launch material was specification-focused and did not establish independent benchmark results, gaming frame rates, rendering times or acoustic measurements.
A 3.7-liter desktop with built-in features
The aluminum chassis was designed to fit into a small office, studio or entertainment setup while retaining desktop hardware. Lenovo included the power supply inside the computer, avoiding the large external brick common on some compact systems. The machine also included built-in speakers and an 8-megapixel camera with AI optimization.
Some coverage described the camera as a “4K AI camera,” but the available source material verifies an 8-megapixel camera and AI image processing—not a guaranteed 4K video mode. Buyers should check the detailed camera specifications before treating 4K capture as confirmed.
Lenovo positioned the YOGA Portal as an AI and high-performance desktop as well as a gaming machine. An RTX 4070 is relevant to GPU-accelerated video work, 3D applications, CUDA software and local AI workloads. Its 12 GB of VRAM is useful for many creator applications, although it can limit larger AI models and especially demanding high-resolution workloads.

Launch coverage also lists USB-C, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, RJ45 Ethernet and an optional expansion serial port. Interface-generation details should be checked against the Lenovo listing, which is more specific than some third-party reports.
Secondary Lenovo documentation and coverage mention two M.2 slots and storage expansion support. That should not be read as proof of unrestricted upgrades. The available information does not establish whether the memory, graphics card, cooling assembly or power supply can be replaced by the owner, nor does it confirm the supported drive configurations in every version.
Price and China launch
Lenovo announced the YOGA Portal at ChinaJoy 2024 and began selling it in China on July 27, 2024. The reported opening price was ¥17,999, while the stated regular or new-product price was ¥19,999. Those figures are historical Chinese prices, not a US MSRP. A currency conversion would provide only rough historical context and would not account for taxes, import costs, warranty coverage or regional pricing.
Is the Lenovo YOGA Portal available now?
As of August 18, 2026, Lenovo’s Chinese product page marks the YOGA Portal as 下架, meaning it has been removed from sale or is no longer listed for purchase. The page identifies the product number as 90XN0002CP, while a Lenovo knowledge-base entry retains the ¥17,999 reference price.
There is no verified US retail launch, US MSRP or US availability in the supplied sources. Lenovo’s current US Yoga desktop listings cover other products, not this RTX 4070-equipped model.
That makes the YOGA Portal a historical China-market release rather than a normal current buying recommendation for most readers. Anyone finding one through an importer or reseller should verify stock status, seller authenticity, warranty coverage, Windows language and licensing, power compatibility, return terms and whether the machine is new, used or refurbished.

- Technical specifications: It supports DisplayPort, USB-A 3.1, USB 2.0, RJ45, VGA, DisplayPort, Headphone output port.
- Refurbished: Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q mini Desktop is being refurbished. The power supply and charger of refurbished products may not be original, but they are compatible with the computer and fully functional. The product is delivered in an ordinary packaging box, not the original packaging box.
Who was it for?
The system’s strongest case was its performance density. It could appeal to:
- Creators who needed desktop CPU and GPU acceleration without a conventional tower.
- AI users whose applications benefited from CUDA and 12 GB of GPU memory.
- PC gamers seeking a compact RTX-based desktop rather than a gaming laptop.
- Professionals who valued a small workstation with integrated power, camera and speakers.
Compared with a full-size gaming desktop, the YOGA Portal offered a much smaller footprint but likely less thermal and upgrade headroom. A gaming laptop would be easier to transport, but its hardware would generally be mobile-class and its display and battery would add cost. A DIY small-form-factor PC could provide more control over component selection and future upgrades, at the cost of assembly complexity and compatibility planning.
The main compromises
- High launch price: ¥17,999 was a premium for compactness and integration rather than an obvious performance-per-dollar choice.
- Unverified sustained performance: The launch specifications do not reveal how the cooling system handles long gaming, rendering or AI workloads.
- Limited apparent power overhead: A 350-watt supply leaves less room than many upgrade-oriented desktops, even though it is integrated and Platinum-rated.
- Upgrade uncertainty: Storage expansion is documented more clearly than graphics, memory or cooling upgrades.
- Regional software: The listed operating system is Windows 11 Home Chinese edition.
- Geographic availability: The machine appears to have been primarily a China-market product, with no verified US retail release in the available evidence.
- Historical GPU generation: As of 2026, an RTX 4070 remains capable, but it is no longer a current-generation advantage.
Do not confuse it with the 2026 Yoga Mini i
Lenovo later announced the Yoga Mini i for 2026. That is a different product using Intel Core Ultra processors and integrated graphics. It is not a successor specification match for the 2024 YOGA Portal and does not include the Portal’s desktop RTX 4070.
Bottom line
The Lenovo YOGA Portal was an impressive compact-desktop concept: desktop-class Core i7 and RTX 4070 hardware in a 3.7-liter aluminum enclosure, with 32 GB of memory, 1 TB of storage and an integrated power supply. Its appeal came from hardware density, not from proven benchmark leadership or low cost.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteFor current buyers, the bigger issues are its China-only launch context, unavailable Lenovo listing, Chinese Windows edition, uncertain international support and unverified thermal and upgrade behavior. It is best understood as a notable 2024 compact desktop release—not a currently established US-market mini PC.
