What happened to the September 10 Nintendo Direct claim?

Nintendo’s official event listings instead show a Nintendo Direct on September 9 and a Zelda anniversary presentation on September 8. The cited official pages do not list a September 10 general Direct. Nintendo’s news and events page provides the listings.
Which Nintendo presentations did take place?
September 8: Zelda 40th Anniversary presentation
Nintendo’s September listings include a presentation marking The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary. GamesRadar reports that it announced a Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Switch 2, with availability reported for October 29, and an Ocarina of Time remake sold separately. Nintendo’s official page, titled “Nintendo Direct 9.9.2026,” documents the September 9 presentation and its featured game announcements. Nintendo Treehouse: Live followed it with gameplay of selected titles. See Nintendo’s Direct page.
Is another Nintendo Direct scheduled?
The cited sources establish the September presentations, but they do not establish a future Nintendo event after them. Nintendo Directs have often appeared around February, June, and September, according to Nintendo Life, but that pattern is not a schedule and cannot confirm a future date. For a new event date, look for an announcement on Nintendo’s official channels. Treat calendar predictions and community discussion as speculation unless Nintendo confirms them.
