Planet Coaster 2 has 36 achievements on Steam. Each one has a fixed end condition, such as opening your first Flat Ride, building a Coaster over a set length, or earning a specific medal in Career Mode. Unlocking all 36 comes down to meeting each condition, and the Steam listing does not describe a single recommended route through them. This guide lists every achievement with its requirement, grouped by the kind of goal it asks for, so you can plan which ones to pursue in which park.
How the achievement conditions work
Steam describes each achievement with a short unlock condition. Most conditions are measured inside a single park, and the text is explicit about where the requirement applies. Three distinctions matter when you plan:
- Park scope: most conditions say “in any park” or “in a single park,” so progress is measured per park rather than across your whole save.
- Mode: the 5 Star Park achievement specifically says Sandbox Mode, while the chapter, epilogue, research, and medal achievements belong to Career Mode.
- Simultaneous counts: several guest and staff goals require the number to be reached at the same time (for example, 10 hired staff at once), not accumulated over a session.
The listing does not say whether one build can satisfy several coaster achievements at once, so check each ride’s stats against each condition rather than assuming overlap.
Park and management achievements
These 11 achievements cover early park setup, population thresholds, park rating, scenery spending, and finance.

Early setup
- Time to Ride: Open your first Flat Ride in any park.
- What Even Is Interest?: Take out a Loan of at least $20,000.
Guest and staff thresholds
- People Person’s Person People: Have 10 Hired Staff simultaneously in any park.
- Quite the Crowd: Have 1,000 Guests in a park simultaneously.
- No Track Required: Have at least 250 Guests on Flat Rides simultaneously.
- Golden Oldies: Have 5 Rides achieve “Classic” status in a single park.
- Satisfaction Guaranteed: Achieve 70% of Guests in a Positive Mood at the End of a Day With At Least 2,500 Guests In The Park.
Park rating and scenery
- What a View!: Spend $50,000 on Scenery in a single park.
- Showstopper: Build a 3 Star Park.
- Crowd Pleaser: Build a 4 Star park.
- Against the Odds: Build a 5 Star Park in Sandbox Mode.
Coaster and water-ride achievements
These 11 achievements split into first-open firsts, construction targets for coasters, and water-attraction goals.
First openings
- On a Roll: Open your first Coaster in any park.
- Get Your Feet Wet: Open your first Flume in any park.
Coaster construction targets
- Not For The Faint-Hearted: Build and open a Coaster with Excitement at 7 or above.
- In a Word, Whoooosh: Build and open a Coaster that reaches at least 100 mph / 161 kph.
- Down Is Up: Build and open a Coaster over 500m in length with at least 10 inversions.
- Test of Endurance: Build and open a Coaster with at least 2,500m of track.
- Best of the Best: Build and open a Coaster with 2,500m of Track and Excitement greater than 9.
Two of these overlap in track length. Test of Endurance needs only 2,500m of track, while Best of the Best adds an Excitement rating above 9 to the same length. Down Is Up is the only coaster goal that combines a length minimum with an inversion count.
Water attractions
- All the Slides: Have 20 Water Slides or Flumes open in a single park.
- Ride the Waterfall: Build and open a Water Slide or Flume with a Drop of at least 100m.
- Splashing Around: Have 500 Guests in Pools simultaneously.
- Slip ‘n Slide: Have 30 Guests riding Water Slides or Flumes simultaneously.
Career Mode achievements
The remaining 14 achievements depend on Career Mode progression: five chapter and epilogue goals, seven medal goals, the research goal, and the all-medals goal.

Chapters and epilogue
- First Drop: Unlock Chapter 1.
- Rolling With It: Unlock Chapter 2.
- Wheel-y Good Time: Unlock Chapter 3.
- Twisting Tracks: Unlock Chapter 4.
- Final Plunge: Unlock Chapter 4’s Epilogue.
Medal achievements
Each medal achievement names one Career Mode map and one medal tier. The table lists all seven.

Bronze is the only tier requested on three maps, and Platinum appears twice. Each achievement names a single tier, so earning a higher tier on a map does not replace the lower one in the listing.
Research and all medals
- Eugene Would Be Proud: Unlock all Research in Career Mode.
- Fully Loaded: Unlock all 72 Career Medals in the base game.
Fully Loaded is the hardest listed goal by player count (see the rates below). It depends on every medal across the base-game career, so plan it after the medal achievements you have already earned.

Global unlock rates on Steam
Steam displays the share of players who have unlocked each achievement. When this guide was checked on 8 October 2026, the two figures worth noting were:
- Time to Ride: 80.2% of players had unlocked it.
- Fully Loaded: 0.4% of players had unlocked it.
These are live platform figures from Steam’s achievement page and change as more players unlock achievements. They describe the Steam player base only, so treat them as an indication of difficulty rather than a fixed statistic. The full Steam achievement list shows the current rate for every achievement.
Platform scope
The achievement names and conditions in this guide come from Steam’s listing for Planet Coaster 2, which identifies the game as a single-player simulation and strategy title by Frontier Developments. The Steam store page confirms Steam achievement support. Frontier’s FY25 interim results presentation states that the game launched on November 6, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X, according to the Frontier FY25 interim results presentation.

That presentation confirms the launch platforms, not which achievement list each console uses. The 36-item list here is the Steam list. Console achievement lists were not checked for this guide, so confirm the names and conditions on your own platform before planning around them.
The Steam list and rates can change after game updates. If a condition seems to differ from what you see in-game, check the Steam achievement page first.
Organizing your progress
- Start with the single-park firsts: Time to Ride, On a Roll, and Get Your Feet Wet are each a one-time opening.
- Keep Sandbox separate: Against the Odds is the only achievement limited to Sandbox Mode, so it does not depend on Career progress.
- Track construction stats per ride: Excitement, length, inversions, speed, and drop each have their own threshold, so record them as you build.
- Save Fully Loaded for last: it requires all base-game career medals, so it is the final item on any Career checklist.
Because the listing defines conditions but not an order or method, these steps reflect how the achievements are structured, not a tested route.
