Potential Princess Sightings! is a Side Adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You start by speaking with Traysi at the Lucky Clover Gazette in the Tabantha Frontier, near Rito Village. You then work with reporter Penn on twelve related stable investigations and return to Traysi at the Gazette to finish the series.
Where the quest begins
The Lucky Clover Gazette is in the Tabantha Frontier, near Rito Village. The newspaper editor, Traysi, gives the assignment. Penn is the reporter who joins Link for the stable investigations.
The quest log frames the job as follows: “The newspaper editor Traysi says that people all over Hyrule have been seeing someone who might be Princess Zelda.” This is fictional in-game text, not a real-world quotation. It sets up the goal of the series, which is to check each reported sighting at a stable.
Step by step
- Go to the Lucky Clover Gazette in the Tabantha Frontier and speak with Traysi to take on the assignment.
- Meet Penn at the stable linked to each investigation in the table below and complete that Side Adventure. Penn is part of the Gazette assignment at every stop.
- After the stable investigations are done, return to the Lucky Clover Gazette and speak with Traysi to close out the assignment.
The twelve stable investigations
Each of these stables has a related Side Adventure in this series. Use the in-game adventure log for exact titles, since published guides do not always match on wording.

Rewards along the way
The series pays out rupees as you progress and includes Froggy armor pieces. The complete series is associated with the Froggy set. Published guides describe the reward thresholds and the final piece differently, so this guide does not list milestone amounts. Check the adventure log in-game as you go to confirm exactly what each stage gives you.
Rank #2
- Ultrahand: Using the new Ultrahand ability, Link can pick up, move, and rotate almost any object, and can even attach objects together to create bridges, vehicles, and more!
- Fuse: Magically fuse almost any object to Link’s current weapon, shield, or arrow to increase durability, damage, or even add a new effect. Experiment with lots of different combinations to come up with surprising—and sometimes hilarious—results!
- Ascend: Add a new dimension to your exploration with Ascend, which gives Link the ability to pass through solid objects above him. Rise up through ceilings, hillsides, and even certain enemies to create seemingly impossible shortcuts.
- Recall: Use Recall to make objects in motion move backward through time, letting Link ride fallen boulders skyward, recover thrown weapons, or send projectiles back where they came from.
Finishing the series
The last step is the return to Traysi at the Lucky Clover Gazette after the twelfth stable investigation. Once you speak with her there, the assignment is complete.
