MTT Sports’ repeated presence at TOKEN2049 signals a deliberate push to put its Web3 poker platform in front of the crypto industry—not proof that Web3 poker has entered a new era. The company has presented a blockchain-based tournament product at multiple editions of the event, but Boyaa Interactive’s latest disclosure still describes MTT Sports as being in a promotion stage, with no investor revenue recorded from the project as of June 30, 2026.
What happened at TOKEN2049?
MTT Sports’ own white paper records a brand presentation at TOKEN2049 Singapore in September 2024, alongside community onboarding and an Alpha stress test. The project source documents the company’s stated milestones; it does not independently verify the test’s results. MTT Sports white paper
Later, TOKEN2049’s event account welcomed MTT Sports back as a Platinum Sponsor for its Singapore edition. The organizer described MTT Sports as a Web3 Texas Hold’em tournament platform on the EVM-compatible MTT Network, with BTC and MTT token rewards, transparent results, provable fairness, and a fiat on-ramp integration via Alchemy Pay. On May 5, 2025, MTT Sports announced it would be a Platinum Sponsor at TOKEN2049 Dubai. The company promoted its “Trial Ticket” reward model and plans to destroy 1 billion MTT tokens. What is MTT Sports, and how does it work?
MTT Sports describes itself as an online poker entertainment platform for players worldwide, available on Web and Android. Its official site lists tournament play, rewards, social features, and multiple game formats. MTT Sports official site
Boyaa Interactive’s 2026 interim disclosure describes MTT Network as a public blockchain built with Cosmos SDK and compatible with EVM. It identifies MTT Sports as a core ecosystem application and says tournament registration, settlement, community governance, and token trading take place on-chain. The filing describes MTT as the network’s native token and as an accounting and economic circulation medium for the platform. TOKEN2049’s post also mentions an Alchemy Pay fiat on-ramp, a route intended to connect fiat payments with the service. The available sources do not establish how widely that on-ramp is available or how often players use it.
What do the user and network figures show?
Boyaa Interactive has published two dated snapshots of MTT Sports’ audience. They should not be read as a single uninterrupted growth trend: registered-user totals and monthly active users are different measures, and the reported monthly active user count differs between the dates.

The same June 2026 disclosure reports MTT Network activity and infrastructure figures: approximately 19.23 million validated blocks, more than 62.48 million interactions, approximately 175,000 smart contracts, around 215,000 unique addresses, and approximately 6,300 daily active addresses as of June 30, 2026. Average daily interactions were approximately 74,000 in Q2 2026. Does the sponsorship prove Web3 poker is entering a new era?
No. Sponsorship shows that MTT Sports is investing in visibility and positioning itself before a crypto-focused audience. The sequence—from a Singapore presentation in September 2024 to sponsor appearances in Singapore and Dubai—supports the conclusion that event marketing is a recurring part of its strategy.

It does not show that TOKEN2049 sponsorship caused user acquisition, improved retention, generated revenue, or changed the wider poker industry. The sources provide no sponsorship-conversion figures or independent market-wide adoption study. Nor do network interaction totals prove that people are playing poker or that game outcomes have been independently verified.
Boyaa Interactive’s June 2026 interim disclosure is an important counterweight to the event visibility: it says MTT Sports remained in the promotion stage and Boyaa had recorded no investor revenue from the project as of June 30, 2026. How to judge the platform’s significance
A conference appearance is an early signal of ambition. Whether that ambition becomes a meaningful shift in poker depends on outcomes that sponsorship announcements alone cannot establish:
- Audience activity: whether active players return and tournament participation grows, not just whether cumulative registrations rise.
- Access: whether players can reliably join and pay in the places where the product is offered. An announced fiat on-ramp does not establish universal availability.
- Verifiability: whether claims about transparent results and provable fairness are backed by clear, independently reviewable evidence.
- Commercial durability: whether the platform develops revenue and a viable business model rather than remaining in promotion.
- Reach beyond one app: whether MTT Network opens to third-party games and supports an ecosystem beyond MTT Sports. Boyaa said it had not yet done so as of June 30, 2026.
For now, the strongest evidence is of product development, company-reported usage and infrastructure, and sustained event promotion. The evidence does not yet establish commercial maturity or a sector-wide transformation.
