If you are searching the Tower
Historical records place Xûr in areas including the Hangar and bar, near the Speaker and balcony, the Hall of Guardians, and the Vanguard area. These are useful places to check, not a guarantee of his current position.
If you are searching the Reef
Go to Vestian Outpost. Historical records include a spot near the Bounty Tracker and a nearby doorway, but do not establish that he is there this week.

When does Xûr appear in Destiny 1?
The community reference describes Xûr appearing Friday through Sunday. Its historical table gives start and end times, and a 2015 Bungie forum post also discusses a Friday-to-Sunday visit, but that post is old and corrects its own timing statement. Bungie Help confirms that Xûr continues to appear without publishing arrival or departure hours. Treat exact clock times as historical unless a current Destiny 1 report corroborates them. The 2015 Bungie forum discussion is not a current schedule.
What to do if Xûr is not there
- Confirm that you are playing Destiny 1, not Destiny 2; the games have separate location reports.
- Check that your visit falls within the Friday-to-Sunday window described by the community reference.
- Search both the Tower and Vestian Outpost, using the historical spots above only as leads.
- Consult a fresh report that clearly identifies Destiny 1 and the relevant week. The available historical location table does not verify Xûr’s position for October 8, 2026.
Does the console generation change the answer?
Bungie’s support page says its main Destiny 1 information applies to PS4 and Xbox One, with PS3 and Xbox 360 addressed separately. It also says content through Rise of Iron remains available on PS4 and Xbox One and that planned updates or content are no longer expected. The page does not establish a different Xûr location by console generation. Bungie Help’s platform and legacy-support details are the relevant scope; do not infer a platform-specific location from them.
