If you missed the Power Drill during The Hit List event, Activision’s Season 01 patch notes say you can unlock it through the Armory. Find the Armory under Barracks > Challenges, activate the Power Drill entry, then earn XP toward its requirement. You must reach Player Level 24 to access the Armory, and the current XP requirement is not stated in Activision’s published guidance.
How to unlock the Power Drill after The Hit List
- Reach Player Level 24. Activision’s Season 01 announcement says the Armory becomes available at that level.
- Open Barracks > Challenges and choose the Armory.
- Find the Power Drill unlock entry and activate it. The Armory’s system lets you select an item and progress toward it with XP.
- Earn XP in matches and challenges, then check the Armory entry to track your progress. Activision’s progression guide describes XP from Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies matches and challenges, but does not specify the Power Drill’s XP threshold or confirm which modes count for this particular unlock.
The Season 01 patch notes explicitly say the Power Drill is available through the Armory for players who did not unlock it in The Hit List event: Black Ops 6 Season 01 patch notes.

If the Power Drill entry is missing
Activision’s sources document the Season 01 unlock route, but do not verify the live menu or challenge requirement on October 8, 2026. Check the current Armory and the game’s event or weapon menus; the exact XP requirement should appear in the in-game entry if the unlock is available to your account.
What the Power Drill is
Activision introduced the Power Drill as a Season 01 event-reward melee weapon for Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Its official description lists a two-hit kill, very short range, and very fast attack speed. These are Activision’s qualitative weapon descriptors, not independent performance measurements. It is available in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, according to the Season 01 announcement.
