Wuthering Waves Version 1.2, “In the Turquoise Moonglow,” was scheduled for August 15, 2024. Kuro Games planned maintenance from 06:00 to 13:00 UTC+8 that day, and the update’s release followed that window. The date has passed, so this page is a historical reference rather than a live countdown.
Release date and planned maintenance window
Kuro Games announced Version 1.2 ahead of time, and its official news listing places the maintenance notice on August 10, 2024 and the patch notes on August 15, 2024 (Kuro Games official news listing).
- Maintenance notice (August 10, 2024): Kuro Games published the schedule and the planned downtime.
- Planned downtime (August 15, 2024, 06:00–13:00 UTC+8): Players could not log in during this window. The notice allowed the maintenance to be extended, with a follow-up notice if that happened (maintenance schedule reproduction carrying the notice text).
- Patch notes and launch (August 15, 2024): The official patch notes were posted on this date, and the new version went live.
The 13:00 UTC+8 end of the window is the planned figure. The notice does not record the exact moment servers came back online, so treat the window as the schedule, not a confirmed go-live timestamp.
Release time in other time zones
Beebom published a regional time guide on August 13, 2024 that converted the release into several local times (Beebom regional-time article). These conversions come from that outlet, not from a separate global schedule published by Kuro Games.
#1 Best Overall
- Cartethyia characters from the popular game "W-W"
- Figure is carefully crafted to restore the look of the game in action expressions
- Made of high quality PVC material that does not emit a pungent smell
- Figures are 1/6 scale and are the focal point of the tabletop

| Location | Reported local time | Date | Source of figure |
|---|---|---|---|
| India (IST) | 10:30 AM | August 15, 2024 | Beebom |
| California (US Pacific) | 10:00 PM | August 14, 2024 | Beebom |
| Beijing (UTC+8) | 1:00 PM | August 15, 2024 | Beebom |
All three reported times correspond to 13:00 UTC+8, which is the end of the planned maintenance window. That alignment is a conversion check; the sources do not state that servers were live at that exact minute.
PC launcher pre-download
Before the update, Kuro Games ran a limited test of PC launcher pre-downloads. Its official Korean notice, dated August 11, 2024, describes the following (Kuro Games official Korean pre-download notice):
Rank #2
- Iuno characters from the popular game "W-W"
- Figure is carefully crafted to restore the look of the game in action expressions
- Made of high quality PVC material that does not emit a pungent smell
- Figures are 1/6 scale and are the focal point of the tabletop
- If you have any questions about the product, please contact us and we will reply within 24 hours
- Start: August 13, 2024, 10:00 UTC+8.
- Eligibility: A randomly selected subset of official-launcher users, not every player.
- Package size: 23 GB, as listed in the notice.
If your launcher did not offer the pre-download, that was consistent with the test’s limited selection rather than a fault on your side.

Because the release has already happened, the most useful step is converting the planned window into your own time zone. Take 06:00 and 13:00 in UTC+8 (Beijing time, which does not observe daylight saving), then subtract or add your offset. The Beebom conversions above are a useful cross-check for India, California, and Beijing, but they are a single outlet’s figures for August 2024.
