Wuthering Waves’ exact Version 3.7 pre-download size is not stated in the available official notices. The latest retrieved platform figures are for Version 3.6: approximately 22 GB downloaded on PC and 13 GB on Android or iOS, with 50 GB and 33 GB of free space required, respectively. Treat those as historical estimates, not Version 3.7 requirements, and check the current maintenance notice or your game’s download prompt before clearing storage.
How much space does the Wuthering Waves pre-download need?
Download size and required free space are different. The downloaded files may need additional room while the game merges or decompresses update resources. The official notices below give figures for specific updates, not a permanent size for the game or a confirmed Version 3.7 requirement.

In the Version 3.6 notice, Kuro Games said remaining space would be released automatically after maintenance. Its Version 3.0 and 3.4 notices likewise described additional merge or decompression space as temporary and automatically freed after maintenance. These temporary-space figures are not the same as the final installed game size; the notices do not establish a definitive Version 3.7 installed size.
The figures vary between updates, and pre-download has not been available on every platform for every version. Use the current update notice or the storage amount shown in your game client for the update you are installing, rather than assuming Version 3.6 numbers still apply.

How to pre-install Wuthering Waves
Pre-download is offered only when Kuro Games enables it for that update. When the option appears, start it before maintenance so the update files are ready to install. Kuro Games’ Version 3.4 Update Maintenance Notice gives these platform steps:
On PC
- Open the Wuthering Waves launcher.
- Select New Version Pre-download below the Start button.
- Let the download run. It can be paused, and the notice recommends a stable network connection.
On Android or iOS
- Log in to Wuthering Waves.
- On the title screen or the in-game Terminal page, select Pre-download.
- Confirm the prompt and allow the download to finish.
The Version 3.4 notice says players can continue playing while the pre-download runs. Availability can differ by update: for Version 3.2, Kuro Games offered pre-download on PC only while the mobile feature was being optimized.

Before you clear storage
- Check the notice for the exact version being released and your platform; update sizes and pre-download availability have changed between versions.
- Distinguish the download payload from the larger free-space requirement for merging or decompressing resources.
- Do not treat the free-space recommendation as the final installed size. Extra space may be temporary and released after maintenance.
- If you are on PC, Kuro Games’ Version 3.4 notice recommends installing the game on an SSD, but does not make an SSD a pre-download requirement.
