Does Yuzu still work on PC?
Yuzu is a legacy project, not a maintained emulator. In Nintendo of America Inc. v. Tropic Haze LLC, the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island entered a final judgment and permanent injunction on March 6, 2024. The judgment awarded Nintendo US$2.4 million and restricted Tropic Haze and specified related parties from trafficking in Yuzu or its source code and features. The court’s findings describe Yuzu as an emulator that circumvents technological measures and allows encrypted Nintendo Switch games to be played on devices other than a Switch. The award and injunction concern that case and its named parties; they are not a general penalty for every person who uses an emulator, nor a universal ruling on emulation in every jurisdiction. The available documentation does not establish whether Yuzu works on present-day PCs, and there is no current official build, support channel, or compatibility list established here. Avoid treating an unofficial download as an endorsed or maintained release.

The quickstart also named example GPUs in minimum, recommended, and optimal tiers. Those historical examples are not a sound basis for buying a graphics card today: there is no current controlled comparison or verified compatibility data here.
What files did the archived setup describe?
The archived guide describes using Switch system files and game files, including transferring files from a microSD card to a computer. That explains the general shape of the old setup, but the documentation does not settle whether obtaining or using any particular files is lawful. Owning a console, game, or accessory does not by itself resolve every legal question.
